Great title, right? This new read-together-as-a-family book will have all of you bending your brains solving wordles. These little puzzles are word phrases with absolutely nothing in common – except for the fact that they sound the same. In I Scream, Ice Cream, readers guess alternative meanings of words with pictures (“me, cloud”) before turning the page for the answer (“meek/loud”). The New York Times says Amy’s Krouse Rosenthal’s award-winning children’s books “radiate fun the way tulips radiate spring: they are elegant and spirit-lifting.” A few of my favorites are Little Hoot, Spoon, and Wumbers, which is 1derful 2 read with a kindergar10er.
